Seeking & Sharing Knowledge

As a provider of virtual board education, iProtean's mission is to seek and share knowledge. At the 2020 AHA Rural Health Care Leadership Conference, we polled over 100 health care leaders on topics around board education and the results were fascinating.

90% of the trustees want access to more education

It was clear that every trustee we spoke to values education. However, 90% of them wished they had access to more ongoing education to help make informed decisions, be a better trustee and positively affect their communities.

45% felt that time was the biggest obstacle to continued education

Busy schedules, location and resources make it difficult to build a robust ongoing education program for trustees. 45% of the leaders expressed excitement about our ability to deliver 10-minute video courses directly to their desktop, tablet and phone.

33% want to learn more about technology breakthroughs

We offer over 70 courses in Finance, Governance, Quality, Mission & Strategy. In 2019, we launched a new category called Technology & Innovation to cover emerging trends that are changing the healthcare landscape. 33% of the leaders we spoke to were thrilled to see this new category on our course list. Check out the technology topics that were featured in this trends article written by AHA.

85% are seeking a collaborative education experience

85% of the trustees are seeking more interactive education opportunities. iProtean is humanizing the learning experience by offering a collaborative service to help hospitals customize learning pathways, provide group learning for their board and facilitate direct communication with subject matter experts brought virtually into the boardroom.

Brace yourself for the stat that shocked us all

Reese's peanut butter cups was the most popular item chosen from our candy bowl. Yes, you heard it correctly! Hospital leadership loves Reese’s peanut butter cups more than Snickers, KitKat, Whoppers, Crunch Bars and York Peppermint Patties. We promise to bring more Reese’s Peanut Butter cups next time.
